September brought subscription pauses, restricted API keys for agents, and a clearer view of payout funds. We also improved checkout recovery and how transactions show payment methods.
TL;DR
- Pause paid recurring subscriptions without canceling them.
- Recover checkout when a provider later confirms an unclear payment result.
- Give agents API keys with only the permissions they need.
- See available payout funds and what's expected over the next seven days.
- See the payment method on new transactions when known, even if the saved method changes later.
Pause subscriptions without canceling them

From the Dashboard or API, pause a paid recurring subscription now or at period end. Pausing now preserves the unused time for when it resumes. Pausing at period end keeps access through the current period and skips the next renewal.
Customers can manage an existing pause in the Customer Portal, and the same subscription can resume when they're ready.
Restricted API keys for agents

In Settings → API Keys, choose AI Agents and select the resources and actions the key can use. For example, grant customer read access without write access. Edit the grants as the agent's task changes.
The agent gets the access it needs for that task, while existing Full Access keys keep working.
Know what's ready for payout

Payouts now shows your Available balance next to a seven-day forecast of incoming funds. The forecast uses pending settlements and their availability dates; pending funds stay out of the available balance.
You can see what is ready for payout now and what is expected over the coming days.
Smaller September improvements and fixes
- New agent integration and authentication guides connect the API, MCP server, and SDKs.
- Commet now keeps the original payment attempt available for the later settlement. When confirmation arrives, the invoice and subscription can complete without starting another charge.
- New transactions keep the payment method used for that transaction when known, even if the customer's saved method changes later.
- Checkout amounts and quantities follow the page language on both server and browser, so English and Spanish views stay consistent.
To give an agent limited access, create a restricted API key.
