Software has come a long way in the last ten years, but billing hasn't kept up. Every team still rebuilds the same stack. Every new market needs a new setup. Every finance team still exports CSVs at the end of the month. It doesn't have to be that way. We want to change that. We want to reimagine billing.
Our story
We started Commet because we'd seen the other version too many times.
Commet began with a frustration every engineering team operating in Latin America knows too well. The same billing integration, rebuilt in every company. The same spreadsheets. The same tax workarounds. The same "we'll clean it up later" that never gets cleaned up.
We spent years watching great teams burn their best engineers on billing infrastructure instead of shipping product. We watched finance teams close the month with three tools open and confidence in none of them. We watched LATAM get treated as a rounding error on global billing roadmaps — while the customers of the companies we admired lived here.
Eventually, we stopped complaining about it and started building the alternative. Commet is what we wish we'd had on day one of every company we'd ever worked at.
